Attidiya Bird Sanctuary Sri Lanka

As promissed, here is the compilation of Photographs of Birds that I managed to capture at the Attidiya Bird Sanctuary. Unfortunately, some of the pics are not clear and I was not in a possition to get certain photographs due to the camera I posses. My friend managed to capture a few good pics and I will try to borrow some to publish on this post.
You need to get to the Marsh as early as you can as bisrd tend to wake up early to fetch their feed. floks of birds flying in the sky indeed is a beautiful sight.

Even the Crows seems to wake up early.

The Entrance to the Marsh is filled with Cranes, looking out for the small fish that lives in the stream below.

  1. Sorry for just letting you know about something at your latest posting, but I can't find any contact information. It looks like you contributed a photo to Wikimedia Commons, http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Birds_couple_in_sl.jpg and you need to confirm something. Can you log in there and fix this? Thanks.

  3. Hi - No need to call anyone, just go there. There is a Dept. office there. Meet a tracker named Jayantha and tell him to take you to Airport end.
